Mike Lambe

Percussion

Mike Lambe is a music school kid at heart. He earned a degree in music business from DePauw University, studying classical and jazz trombone. But a final semester of percussion lessons set Mike on his true musical path.

Since moving to the Pacific Northwest in 2000, Mike has helped create original music and recreate classic rock, Americana, jazz, funk and soul in a wide variety of bands including Ninja Hippie, Mystic Canyon and SkyWagon. His musical partnership with Jimi Hardin spans nearly 20 years and includes an appearance at the Waterfront Blues Festival backing Naomi Tatsuoka.

In addition to his percussion work with Jimi Hardin Motown Soul, Mike plays drums, trombone, ukulele, harmonica and melodica. He is also a composer, vocalist and arranger. He is a long-time musical contributor to the Vancouver Peace and Justice Fair and Squidstock, a music festival in Shelton, Washington.
